Dr. Hari Singh Gour Vishwavidyalaya

Doctor Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya established on 18th July 1946, was formerly known as University of Saugar. It is one of the oldest and the biggest universities of Madhya Pradesh.

It has 36 University teaching departments,10 faculties and 81 affiliated colleges covering 6 revenue districts of M.P. Ever since its inception it has been offering a wide range of subjects for study ranging from post graduate and research courses to Geology, Pharmacy, Criminology & Forensic Science, Anthropology, Performing Arts, Journalism & Mass Communication, Adult Education, Electronics, Business Management, Microbiology, Biotechnology and Computer Applications. Its Distance Education Institute was established between 1997-98 and offers a wide array of courses as listed below.
