Bharathidasan University, located in Tiruchirapalli, has been a pioneer in offering unique academic programmes in arts and science through the departments and colleges and institutions affiliated to it. It may be mentioned that the university was the first of its kind in India to initiate a course in B. Sc in the discipline of Computer Science. Over the years, it has enhanced itself, considerably by expanding its programmes and constantly updating its curriculum. The University offers two part time courses.
