Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati

Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, established in 1994, is one of the seven higher Institutes of Technology in the country set up with the objective of making available facilities for higher education, research and training in various fields of Science and Technology.

At present the Institute has eleven departments covering all the major engineering and science disciplines, offering B. Tech., B. Des., M. Tech., Ph.D. and M.Sc programs. Within a short period of time, IIT Guwahati has been able to build up the necessary infrastructure for carrying out advanced research and has been equipped with state-of-the-art scientific and engineering instruments.

Eligibility

Candidates possessing any of the qualifications specified for regular candidates with or without GATE/NET/CEED scores may apply for admission as (a) sponsored candidates (b) part-time candidates or (c) self-financed candidates. These candidates must have at least 2 years professional experience in a relevant field. Further details will be available in the Information Brochure accompanying the application form. For part-time candidates, their residence should be within commutable distance from the Institute.
