Who can become a successful Animator?
Animation is an art which comes from within. With the popularization of computer courses learning animation is much of the task of mouse and keyboard. There is no set limit on age, eligibility criteria etc to learn animation. Anyone can start learning it as a hobby or for professional gains at any stage. Though, ideal stage to join a course in animation is after completion of 12 years of schooling. Students from any background, arts, sciences, commerce etc can choose to study animation.
An inborn talent, dedication, ability to utilize colors & graphics and creative ability to develop original ideas are important factors for making a name & fame in animation field. An animator must be imaginative and should always be passionate about the career.
An animator should have flair for sketching/drawing. As this job profile requires long hours of continuous work, a lot of dedication and commitment is necessary on the part of animator.
There are plenty of animation courses available both part time and certificate courses as well as full time diplomas and degrees. Those who wish to obtain a degree qualification in animation and multimedia needs to appear in entrance examinations. While admission into short term and part time courses offered on the basis of first come first serve basis. In certain cases institutes also conducts aptitude test. Students attending school / college can also join animation courses as evening program or weekend program.
A person who studies animation is called animator. An eye for details, vision and sense accompanied with ability to utilize colors and graphics are desired traits to be successful animator.
