The Bar Council of India recognizes foreign degree as well. Any person who has studied law from foreign university / institution and wants to serve in India, requires registering with the Bar Council of India. The council has complete guidelines for recognition of foreign degrees and registration. The individuals who are willing to study abroad or either studied law in a country other than India require an understanding of the Bar Council Act in relevance to foreign degree and recognition. The colleges / departments / universities / institutions providing any degree in law in India require approval from Bar Council of India (BCI). It is also recommended to the aspirants that they should pursue law from institutions recognized by Bar Council of India .
