Articled Training / Audit Training

The purpose of Articled / Audit training programme is to inculcate a sense of professionalism in students.The training provides on the job work experience of professional nature by

• In culcating a dicsciplined attitude for hard work,
• Developing necessary skills in applying theoretical knowledge to practical situations,
• Providing exposure to overall socio-economic environment in which organizations operate, and
• Developing ethical values.

3 ½ years of practical training is mandatory for Articled training. However, a student can also choose for Audit training. Eight months of Audit training is considered as equivalent to 6 months of Articleship training.

Information Technology Training (IT Training)

Earlier, the students have required receiving 250 hours of IT training in order to complete CA course. Now the institute has reduced this limit to 100 Hours. This has been done keeping the fact in mind, the new schooling pattern under which the students already learnt the basics of computers and IT at school level. The training in information technology also called as ITT is imparted through Paper 5: Section A - Information Technology (50 Marks).

The training in ITT is imparted for 20 days. A student requires devoting 5 Hrs. each day for completion. Generally the training is commenced at least 3 months prior to the expiry of practical training.

The students are considered as on duty for 100 Hours ITT for which 3 hours examination is also held to check whether they can understand the relevance of IT to CA course which is necessary.
