CBSE CTET 2012

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is set to conduct the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2012 on January 29, 2012 in cities across the country and abroad in Dubai and Riyadh.

Conducted for recruitment of teachers across the country, the CTET applies to schools of the Central Government (KVS, NVS, Central Tibetan Schools etc.) and schools under the administrative control of UT of Chandigarh and Andaman & Nicobar Islands. It may also apply to the unaided private schools, who may exercise the option of considering the CTET.

CTET 2012 Important Dates

  • Sale of CTET Information Bulletin with Application Form at Designated Branches of Syndicate Bank/other Banks Institutions against cash Payment only. List available on CBSE Website: 05.11.2011 to 25.11.2011
  • Online Submission of Application through CBSE website www.cbse.nic.in or www.ctet.nic.in : 01.11.2011 to 25.11.2011
  • Last Date for Receipt of Application / Confirmation Page in CBSE office: 30.11.2011
  • Dispatch of CTET Certificates / Mark Sheet: By 31.03.2012
  • Declaration of Results: By 06.03.2012
  • Last Date for receipt of form 30 November 2011
  • Entrance Date 29 January 2012

CTET 2012 Schedule of Examination

  • 29.01.2012: PAPER - I : 10.00 AM to 11.30 AM
  • 29.01.2012: PAPER - II : 1.00 PM to 2.30 PM

CTET 2012 Courses

The CTET shall apply to schools of the Central Government (KVS, NVS, Central Tibetan Schools etc.) and schools under the administrative control of UT of Chandigarh and Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

CTET may also apply to the unaided private schools, who may exercise the option of considering the CTET.

Schools owned and managed by the State Government / local bodies and aided schools shall consider the TET conducted by the State Govt. However, a State Government can also consider the CTET if it decides not to conduct the State TET

How To Apply For CTET 2012

The cost of Information Bulletin Inclusive of Examination Fees
  • General/ OBC Category: Rs 500/- (Five hundred only)
  • SC/ST/ Differently Abled Category: Rs 250/- (Two hundred fifty only)
  • Information Bulletin containing Application Form can be had personally from the Designated Branches of Syndicate Bank / other Banks or Institutions against cash payment (not by Post). List available on CBSE website www.cbse.nic.in or www.ctet.nic.in
  • The Syndicate Bank / other Banks / designated Institutions will not send the Information Bulletin by Post. Hence, no request should be made to them for sending the Bulletin by Post.
  • Fee once remitted shall not be refunded under any circumstances.

CTET 2012 Online Application

The online submission of particulars may be made at website www.ctet.nic.in . The candidates should supply all the required details while filling up the online form. On submission of details, a Confirmation page with Registration No. shall be generated. Candidates are required to take printout of Confirmation page and paste photograph, sign in the space earmarked for the purpose.

The confirmation Page is to be sent by Registered/Speed Post to CBSE (NOT BY COURIER) to " The Assistant Secretary (CTET Unit), Central Board of Secondary Education, 'Shiksha Sadan', 17, Rouse Avenue, New Delhi - 110002" along with original Demand Draft (if fee paid by Demand Draft) for further processing so as to reach latest by 30.11.2011 .

Payment can be made as follows by Credit/Debit Card or

Demand Draft in favour of the Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi drawn in any Nationalized Bank payable at Delhi. Write your Name, Address, Mobile No. and Registration No. on the back of the demand draft.

Note : Application can be submitted Online during 01.11.2011 to 25.11 .2011.
  • In 2011, of the total 794,080 candidates who registered for CTET, 715,050 took the exam held on June 26. The test was conducted in 1,178 centres and 81 cities across the country and two cities abroad.
  • A total of 97,919 candidates cleared CTET 2011.

CTET 2012 Eligibility Criteria

The following persons are eligible for appearing in the CTET.

Minimum Qualifications For Classes I-V: Primary Stage

  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002. OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*. OR
  • Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).

Minimum Qualification For Classes VI-VIII: Elementary Stage

  • Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). OR
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). OR
  • Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard. OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A. Ed/ B.Sc.Ed. OR
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education)*.

Note:

  • Relaxation up to 5% in the qualifying marks in the minimum Educational Qualification for eligibility shall be allowed to the candidates belonging to reserved categories, such as SC/ ST/ OBC/ Differently abled.
  • Diploma/Degree Course in Teacher Education: For the purposes of this Notification, a diploma/degree course in teacher education recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) only shall be considered. However, in case of Diploma in Education (Special Education) and B.ED (Special Education), a course recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) only shall be considered.

    Respected sir plzzzzzzzzzzz tel me exact date of CBSE 12 result??????????? i m very tensed plz don't create suspense n moreover delay in results can put me in problems as i hv 2 apply 4 JKCET(it's last date is 28 may) n they wil not accept my form wdout 12 result as deir results r already out. so plzzzzzz declare results soon or suggest any alternativeway of submitting my form

    My sons grades are Eng A2, Hindi B1, Maths A2, Sc B1, SST B1.I was up graded in Eng and Hindi. Is this possible that he gets up gradation in Sc as he will be eligible for tuition in a particular center that require A2 in Sc He is feeling depressed due to this. Kindly help

    bhenchodo result bhi daydo.......aaj tak to 12th ka pehlay ata tha n jab hum 12th may aye to 10 ka pehlay daydiyo...sallo bachay marnay ko horay hay tension bhosdivalo daydo result..........bhagwan say daro
