Business is a dynamic process that brings together technology, natural
resources and human initiative in a constantly changing global
environment. To understand the framework in which a business operates, a
detailed study of the organisation and management of business processes
and its interaction with the environment is required.
The aims of Business Studies, as a subject, at the ISC stage are:
- To enable candidates to know the basic structure of a business organisation
- To acquaint candidates with the various functions conducted therein
- To provide preliminary practice on the functional aspects of an office organisation
- To provide candidates with a preliminary idea of an office environment
