Step 3: Appear for MBBS entrance exams for all reputed medical colleges as competition is very tough.
Step 4: Training as junior resident doctor
Step 5: Qualify as a doctor
Step 6: It is the age of specialization and super-specialisation. After MBBS, you can opt for post graduate studies (MD or MS) through another entrance. At the post graduate level, there is specialisation in Medicine and Surgery. Post Graduate Programmes (MD or MS) is usually of 3 years duration.
Do you have it in you- To get your MBBS degree you need to study for 5 years followed by internship
- You literally need to burn the midnight oil to get your MBBS degree. MBBS is not only tough but requires hard work and tremendous effort
- A doctor is also a student for a lifetime. New medicines, vaccines, treatments and injections are being discovered and researched every single day. You have to keep abreast with the latest.
- Odd working hours – you might have to return midway from a holiday or rush to the hospital in the middle of the night to attend an emergency call from your patient.

Junior Resident Doctor – Rs 25, 000 per month (approx.)
Junior Resident Doctor – (MD/MS) – Rs 25,000 – Rs 30,000 per month (approx.)
The sky is the limit for senior consultants. You can earn anything above Rs 50,000 per month.
