How to reach my goalStep 1: You can enroll in science, arts or commerce after Class 10 to pursue a career in journalism
Step 2: Graduation in a subject of your choice is a must. It is better if you also pursue your masters after graduation.
Step 3: Many institutes and universities have started offering postgraduate diploma programs in Journalism and Mass Communications – the first step towards a career in journalism.
Step 4: Though it is not mandatory to have a postgraduate degree or diploma to pursue a career in journalism but it is always good to be trained by professionals in the field.
Step 5: Choose your area of interest and medium. You can pursue a career in print media or in the audio-visual media as a reporter.

Cons- It is a 24x7 job. Unhealthy working hours – you always have to be on your toes to cover breaking news
- Risking your own life if you are in war zones or covering stories of terrorists and the underworld
- Not good pay especially in the print media
