Secondly, you cannot expect faculty with lots of exposure and upto-date with the new research and development in small town colleges. And once the faculty is not abreast of the latest happenings in the field you cannot accept them to apprise you of the same.

Commerce

There are various options for those with the commerce background. To start with, one always has the option of pursuing B.com or BBA, BBS and BBM from a good university. You can also pursue ICWA or CS course simultaneously with B.Com and BBA, this would provide additional value to your professional life. Moreover, if not interested for that than you can simply pursue B.Com and prepare for CAT etc. Beside this, there are host of challenging and highly paid avenues and opportunities that one can pursue after B.Com viz. stock market, financial analyst and the likes of fund manager etc.

Humanities

Those with humanities background also have several opportunities to explore. The popular option is of pursuing BA and simultaneously preparing for the Civil Services Exams. If you think you need to go for a more professional degree than you are also eligible to apply for the BBA, BBS and the BBM course.

Other than this several premier institute offer degree course in foreign languages. Foreign languages like Korean, Chinese and Spanish are in great demand these days and have bright prospects. After your graduation you can have the option of working as an interpreter or translator. Besides being highly paid these jobs, have great international opportunities too.
