Accounting Management course focuses primarily on the accounting aspect of the business. The work of an Accounts Manager reflects upon the Company’s financial position in the market. The job involves analysis, planning, implementation and control of programs designed to provide accounting data reporting. This also includes the maintenance of bank accounts, developing accounting statements, cash flow and accounting performance analysis.
The job also revolves around all the business activities of the company such as preparing the accounting statements, cash flow statements, balance sheet and income statements, financial ratio and the annual report of the Company.
An accounts manager handles a diverse range of activities, such as forecasting Cash Flows, preparing Fiscal/Regulatory Accounting Management Information Systems reports and financial analysis.

Accounting Management Eligibility Criteria
Most of the universities offer education in Accounting management at post graduate level, but few recognized accounting institutes do offer programs at undergraduate level too.
Generally for undergraduate courses, the eligibility is 10+2 with 50% marks, preferably in commerce stream and for post graduate course; the aspirant must be at least a graduate preferably in commerce.
Students are selected through entrance examination. Besides most institutes conducts their own tests followed by group discussion and personal interview.
Accounting Management Skills and Attributes
A successful Accounts manager must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, besides having excellent training in areas like Chartered Accountancy and Cost Accounting, he/she should be a good listener too so that he/she can effectively pay attention to clients requirements.
He/she should also be able to use non-technical, easy-to-understand terms to facilitate easy exchange of difficult accounting concepts. Those aspirants, who have a background or prior experience in subjects like accountancy, law, insurance, investments, finance or taxation or allied subjects, stand a better chance of being successful accounting managers.

With India taking rapid strides in international business scenario, the requirement for qualified accounts managers is increasingly high. Accounting management has emerged as one of the lucrative career option nowadays. Accounting managers of any company are among the highest paid professionals both in India and abroad. Generally, the expertise and experience of the manager, the type and number of clients served, and geographic location decide the income of accounting managers and accounting planners. At times; sky is the limit for the talented ones.
Accounting Management Pay Package
Depending on one’s qualification and experience, one can expect to be paid well in this hot career option. As a trainee, one can start with a salary of Rs.8000-Rs.12000. With having one or two years of experience, one can command a higher salary. Generally MNCs and private companies offer higher pay packages as compared to government departments.
