Modeling Eligibility Criteria

There is no specific educational qualification required to enter this profession. To begin with, one can approach the reputed Modelling agencies with the portfolio of recent photographs or can apply for the contests sponsored by various magazines, cloth manufactures and cosmetic companies etc.

Just after a 10+2 qualification, one can enter this profession, though its suggested to have at least a graduate qualification which assist in handling the nitty gritty of this profession.

Modeling Personal Skills

Personal attributes are the most important factors for the success of any model.Key attributes required to become a model is a good and healthy complexion coupled with lustrous hair. Female Modelling aspirant should ideally be at least five feet and seven inches tall. As for men, the taller they are the better for them. Being photogenic is also one of the key attribute.  Camera friendly attitude, plenty of self-confidence and grace while showcasing the products, are all vital in earning a name in this profession.

Modeling Pay Package

Generally, a male model can begin his career with a starting salary of Rs. 6000-10,000 per show and for females; it is around Rs.10, 000 per show. Many model coordinators who provide Modelling assignments on a commission basis, which is usually in the bracket of 15% to 20% per assignment. Once established in the industry, the models can earn up to Rs. 2-5 lakhs for a television advertisement.
