The most essential attribute which an RJ must possess is his/her ability to connect with the listener. An RJ should be friendly, spontaneous, be warm and have a good voice and command over the language. Youngsters are generally preferred as they are not only full of new ideas but also have zeal for socializing with masses.

Here, aspirants must keep into account that surely it takes more than a good voice to woo the new–age smart listeners. For those serious about this profession, the general suggestion is to listen to a lot of radio and try to put you in the hearts of listeners and always attempt and come up with innovative ideas.
