Combined Matric Level-Main Exam - Stenography Test

a) For Grade 'D' Stenographers:

Shorthand Test in Hindi or in English 300 Marks for those who qualify at the Main Examination.

Scheme of Shorthand Test:

(i) The candidate will be given one dictation test in English or in Hindi at the speed of 80 words per minute for 10 minutes. The candidates who opt to take the shorthand test in English will be required to transcribe the matter in 65 minutes and the candidates who opt to take the test in Hindi will be required to transcribe the matter in 75 minutes.

(ii) Candidate will be required to transcribe their shorthand notes on typewriters and for this purpose they will be required to bring their own typewriters with them.

(iii) Candidates who opt to take the Stenography Test in Hindi will be required to learn English stenography and verbs after their appointment.

(iv)
Second chance for stenography test will not be given to those candidates whose typewriters go out of order during the currency of test.

b) For Grade 'C' Stenography (300 marks):

The Shorthand Tests in English will comprise one dictation test, at 100 words per minute for 10 minute, which the candidates will be required to transcribe in 50 minutes.
The shorthand tests in Hindi will comprise dictation tests 100 words per minute for 10 minutes which the candidates will be required to transcribe in 65 minutes.
