BRAOU Distance Education Programs
Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University (BRAOU), Hyderabad was formerly known as Andhra Pradesh Open University, is located in the Nizam City Hyderabad. The University was established through an act of Andhra Pradesh State Legislature in August, 1982.
The BRAOU Hyderabad has a motto “Education at Your Doorstep”. The University has around 152 study centres spread through out the state Andhra Pradesh.
Dr. BRAOU follows a multi-media teaching-learning approach which broadly comprises self-learning print material, supported by audio, video lessons and regular broadcast of lessons through All India Radio.
The University also telecasts the video lessons through Doordarshan Regional Channel. On Sundays, the university telecast Interactive teleconferencing on the Doordarshan Regional Channel.
Dr. BRAOU Offers Equal Access to Higher Education: The University tries to provide opportunities for people who have missed their chances to pursue Higher Education.
