Barkatullah University IODE Bhopal
Barkatullah University (formerly known as Bhopal University) was established in 1970 in the capital city of Madhya Pradesh. In 1988, it was rechristened as the Barkatullah Vishwavidyalaya, in the living memory of the great freedom fighter, Prof. Barkatullah belongs to Bhopal.
The University offers almost all spectrum of higher education including faculties of Arts, Social Science, Science, Life Science, Home Science, Medicine, Commerce and Business Management, Law, Engineering, Education and Technical Education. Apart from offering regular classroom programs the university’s Institute of Open and Distance Education offers various courses through distance mode of education.

The Institute of Open and Distance Education (IODE) Barkatullah University, Bhopal was established in 1974-75 with the permission of
University Grants Commission (UGC) for imparting education by distance mode. The Institute of Open & Distance Education (IODE) runs many programs at Graduation and Post Graduation level.
Students from any part of India can take admission in these courses by fulfilling the minimum eligibility criteria. The Institute of Open and Distance Education (IODE) is well known Institute of its kind in the State for providing courses through distance learning.
