Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU)

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) was established in 1985 is the largest institute in Asia, which offers education through open learning mode. The university is named after former Prime Minister of India Smt. Indira Gandhi. The IGNOU comes in the bracket of largest universities in the world.

IGNOU was established with an objective to provide higher education to socially and economically weaker students at their doorstep and thus to maintain balance between poor and rich when knowledge economy comes into question. IGNOU has establised various study centers in university recognised colleges for program delivery. These centers coordinates in conducting contact classes, practical examination, conduct of examination and evolution process etc. These centers works in close cooperation with nearest IGNOU RC.
