DIPETE Eligibility & Application Form
Introduction
DIPIETE or Diploma Level program of IETE is recognized by Government of India, Ministry of Human Resource Development and several other state governments. A candidate having DIPIETE certificate can be recruited as sub ordinates by various governments as well as private agencies. These candidates can also choose to do further studies in their respective disciplines.
The IETE offers DIPIETE in following two streams -
- Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering
- Computer Science & Engineering
DIPIETE examinations are conducted twice in a year i.e. in June and December.
Eligibility
A candidate applying for DIPIETE program should at least 14 year old. He / she should also be minimum pass in 10th board examination of any school board and have working experience in the relevant field or studying for higher qualification with Physics / Mathematics / Engineering / Computer Science.
Student Membership
In order to become eligible for appearing in DIPIETE examination a candidate need to register himself / herself as student member with IETE.
A candidate needs to apply at least 4 months in advance before taking DIPIETE examination. This means a candidate who wants to appear in December examination will apply before 31 August and a candidate who wants to appear in June examination will apply before the end of February. The membership of a candidate is valid for 10 consecutive examinations. A candidate has to clear all the papers in 10 examinations failing which he / she shall require to re register for the remaining papers.

Award of DIPIETE
Every student after successful completion of DIPIETE program shall be awarded a certificate of having passed the DIPIETE examination by IETE. The DIPIETE certificate is recognized as any other certificate of engineering diploma. A candidate after having DIPIETE certificate would be eligible working as subordinate with different government and private agencies. He / she can also choose to earn an AMIETE certificate or some other certificate equivalent to graduate degree.
