AMIETE - Associate Membership of Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers
The Institute of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) is the National Apex Professional body of Electronics & Telecommunication, Computer & IT professionals. The Institute focuses on making breakthroughs in the designated areas of Electronics, Telecommunication, Computers, Information Technology and other significant areas.
The Institute conducts Graduateship examination (AMIETE – Associate Membership of Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers), and Diploma Examination (DIPIETE – Diploma of Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers). Both AMIETE and DIPIETE are offered in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering and Information Technology disciplines.
The membership examination of IETE (DIPIETE / AMIETE) is recognized by Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India for employment to posts and services under the central government, in the appropriate fields. Candidates after passing DIPIETE or AMIETE can opt to work with government or private agencies or can choose for higher studies.
IETE also conducts Advance Level Course in Computer Science – ALCCS equivalent to M.Tech. in computer science. Candidates after passing ALCCS program of IETE can choose to do research work or can work in superior posts and services under government and private agencies.
Entrepreneurship is one of the probable option to which IETE professionals can choose in their area of specialization – Electronics & Communication, Computer Science or Information Technology. There are various agencies which helps these professionals in setting up of small and big enterprises.
AMIETE examinations are conducted twice a year, in June and December respectively, at different Centers throughout India and in few locations abroad.
