Combined Admission Test (CAT) is conducted by
Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) for the purpose of admission into different Under Graduate (UG) engineering degree programs offered at Faculty of Engineering & Technology –
Aligarh Muslim University.
The Faculty of Engineering & Technology is also known as Zakir Husain College of Engineering & Technology. It was founded on 21st November, 1938. The department is named after a great scholar of
Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) and the former President of India, Dr. Zakir Husain.
AMU is one of the largest and well known Universities and has a Central University status. The University has 13 faculties offering courses in a number of disciplines, out of which the faculty of Engg. & Tech. is the largest.
The department offers a number of programs in varied engineering disciplines as Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) and Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.). The duration of the B.Tech. Program is 4 years (8 semesters) and B. Arch. Programme is 5 years (10 semesters).

The Registration and Admission Test Fee / Processing Charges (non -refundable) as mentioned against each Course is to be remitted through a Cash Receipt in favour of the Finance Officer, AMU, Aligarh through any branch of State Bank of India (SBI) directly to State Bank of India, AMU, Aligarh Branch using C. A/c No 30319186026.
The amount can also be remitted from any Bank using

However, in exceptional cases the amount may be remitted through Demand
Drafts drawn in favour of Finance Officer, AMU, Aligarh payable at SBI
AMU, Aligarh. AMU CAT Application Form can be sent by Registered
Post Speed Post or through Courier so as to reach up to 5 p.m. on or
before the last date to the respective Offices as given under the
heading “Submission of Application Form”.
Incomplete AMU CAT Application Form, those received late, without requisite fee and not supported with the required certificates / documents shall be rejected and no further correspondence shall be entertained in this regard.
The Demand Drafts issued from the following Associate Banks of State Bank of India towards payment of any admission fee will not be accepted.
