Candidate must additionally have passed English as a subject of study (core or elective) in the qualifying examination. For Lateral Entry B. Tech. Programmes A candidate must have passed in three-years diploma with a minimum of 60% marks from any recognized Diploma awarding institute / university / board recognized by AICTE in any of the following branches of Engg./ Technology :- Computer Engg; Automobile Engg; Chemical Engg, Civil Engg, Construction Engg., Electrical Engg., Electronics & Communication Engg., Electronics, Instrumentation & Control, Mechanical Engg., Maintenance Engg., Plastic Engg., Printing Technology, Production Engg., Public Health & Environmental Engg., Tool & Die Making. Important: Candidates with Diploma in Architecture are not eligible for lateral entry to Engineering / Technology degree programme. For M. Tech. Information Technology, M.Tech. Computer Science and Engg. And M.Tech. VLSI (Full Time) Programme
The Sponsored candidate in addition to the fulfillment of eligibility conditions as specified above must have a minimum of one year of full-time work experience in a registered firm / company / industry / educational and research institution / any Government Department / Autonomous Organization in the relevant field in which admission is being sought after the completion of qualifying examination as on 30th June of the year of admission. A letter from employer must be furnished stating that the candidate is being sponsored to seek admission in M.Tech(IT) / M.Tech. (CSE) Full time programme. For M.Tech. Chemical Engineering (Full Time) Programme B.Tech. / B.E. in Chemical Engineering / Oil and Paint Technology / Biochemical Engineering / Polymer & Plastic Technology / Paper & Pulp Technology / Leather Technology / Food Technology or equivalent degree with 60% marks. For M.Tech. – Information Technology (Weekend) Programme Minimum 60% or equivalent in the qualifying examination as under :-
Important: The Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply. Relaxation of Marks Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes / Widows or Wards of Defence Personnel / Physical Handicapped will be allowed 5 per cent relaxation of marks in the minimum eligibility requirement, irrespective of the fact whether there exists any reservation for any category of such candidates or not. Age Limit Age limitation for aspiring candidates on 1st August of the year of examination is as follows.
