NIT Durgapur | The Regional Engineering College (REC) Durgapur, in the state of West Bengal was established under an act of parliament for providing training in engineering sciences.The institute was jointly established by the state government of West Bengal and the Government of India.Further the institute was renamed as National Institute of Technology and given the status of Deemed University.
NIT Durgapur offers programmes at different levels, viz; Under Graduate, Post Graduate and Research and awards its own degrees and diplomas. Besides offering under graduate and post graduate courses the institute is also involved in active research with several National and International agencies.
