Undergraduate courses:Admissions to the undergraduate courses of the institute are made on the basis of marks obtained in the All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE). The institute reserve 50 percent of the seats in the undergraduate programme for the students hailing from Tamil Nadu. Moreover, a student aspiring for a B. Tech seat in the institute must be +2 qualified. Post- graduate coursesThe institute has made two categories for admission into its post-graduate courses- - GATE- Under this category only those students can seek admission who have a valid gate score
- Non-GATE / Sponsored Category : A students who want to seek admission under this category has to appear for TAMIL NADU COMMON ENTRANCE TEST (TANCET).
