NIT Tiruchirapalli

National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli, a joint effort of the Government of India and Government of Tamil Nadu, was established in 1964 with a mission to impart best technical education to the students to make up the manpower shortfall in the technology sector of the country.

Set up as one of the Regional Engineering Colleges, the institute has today become an autonomous institution. It has also been granted the status of a Deemed University and is registered under Societies Registration Act XXVII of 1975. With undergraduate courses in ten branches and post graduate courses in twenty one disciplines besides Ph.D in all departments, the institute has surely become a sought after destination for all those who want to make a mark in the technology sector.
