Candidates who have completed Bachelor’s Degree (or appearing in final year examination), in the field of Agriculture, Veterinary, Agricultural Engineering, Fisheries, Horticulture, Home Science, Sericulture, Dairy Technology, Dairy Engineering, Forestry, Agri. Marketing Banking and Cooperation, Food Science & Technology, Biotechnology, Process &Food Engineering, Computer Science, Basic, and Allied Sciences under 10+2+4 (most seats) or 10+2+3 (only few seats) are eligible for admission.
- Candidates must have obtained OGPA 6.00/ 10.00 for General, OBC and UPS categories and 5.50/ 10.00 or equivalent for SC, ST and Physically handicapped categories. For admission in the subject of Veterinary Sciences, candidates must have completed B.V.Sc.&A.H. with Internship before the date of registration in the University.
- He/ she should be an Indian National and should be completing minimum 19 year of age.
Note: Most of the participating Universities/ Institutes in this Examination require four years U.G. degree. In few Universities/ Institutes and in few subjects, graduates from non-agricultural stream with 3 years U.G. degree are also eligible for admission. For such candidates, if admitted, the duration of Master’s Degree Programme would be of 3 years as the 1st year will be for completing remedial courses in Agriculture and no fellowship would be paid during the first year to such candidates. For admission, the candidate has to fulfill the eligibility criteria of the admitting University. Due to small number of seats open for candidates from 3 years U.G. degree programmes, ICAR would not assume any responsibility for admitting such candidates even if they qualify and attend Counseling if the vacancies get filled by higher rankers DOU=15122007 |
