The Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) is a pioneer in the field of research in Science education in India. Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE) is a National Centre of TIFR which conducts entrance examination every year for Ph.D in Science Education. As an area for the Ph.D. degree, Science Education is to be interpreted broadly, including the areas of mathematics education, technology education and other allied areas.
