Joint Entrance Examination (JEE)
The entrance examination is conducted for admission to the Undergraduate programsfor Indian and Foreign nationals at Indian Institute of Technology (IITs), Institute of Technology - Beneras Hindu University (IT-BHU) and Indian School of Mines- ISM-Dhanbad. The exam is conducted every year by any one of the IITs as directed by the IIT Board. For details, click here.
Joint Admission Test to M.Sc.(JAM)
Joint Admission Test to M.Sc.(JAM) is conducted by the Indian Institute of Technologies – IITs for admission to Master of Science ( M.Sc.) and other post–B.Sc. programmes offered at the 7 different Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). In a given academic year, any one of the 7 IITs take the responsibility for the conduct of JAM test. For details, click here.
Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)
Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is an All-India Examination conducted by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore and the seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT’s). Admission to ME and MTech programs largely depends upon GATE percentile score. For details, click here.
M.Phil Entrance Test
MET is an All India Entrance Test for those who are desirous of seeking admission to the M.Phil. Programme in Humanities and Social Sciences at Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. It is conducted in the first week of July every year. The exact date and time of the test is intimated to the applicants through Advertisements/Announcements/Admit Card. The test paper is set in English and candidates must answer the questions only in English.

University Grants Commission - Junior Research Fellowship (UGC-JRF)
The National Educational Testing Bureau of University Grants Commission (UGC) conducts National Eligibility Test (NET) and awards Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) for Indian nationals in order to ensure minimum standards for the entrants in the teaching profession and research. The test for Junior Research Fellowship is being conducted since 1984. UGC conducted the first National Eligibility Test, common to both eligibility for Lectureship and Junior Research Fellowship in two parts, that is, in December 1989 and in March , 1990.

University Grants Commission - National Eligibility Test (UGC- NET)
The National Educational Testing Bureau of University Grants Commission (UGC) conducts National Eligibility Test (NET) to determine eligibility for lectureship and for award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) for Indian nationals in order to ensure minimum standards for the entrants in the teaching profession and research. The Test is conducted in Humanities (including languages), Social Sciences, Forensic Science, Environmental Sciences, Computer Science and Applications and Electronic Science.

Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED)
Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED) is conducted by Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, on behalf of the Ministry of Human Resources Development (HRD), Department of Education (DAE), Government of India.
CEED is the qualifying examination for admission to Post Graduate M.Des. (i.e. Master of Design) programmes at the Industrial Design Centre (IIT Bombay), Inter disciplinary Industrial Design Programme (IIT Delhi), Centre for Product Design and Manufacturing (IISc Bangalore) and Design Programme (IIT Kanpur) and Ph.D. Programmes in Design in some other of these Institutes.

Research & Fellowship Test
Admission is offered on the basis of an interview held usually a month before the commencement of the semester for which admission is sought. The interview may be supplemented by a written test, if necessary.
Quality Improvement Programme
The Government of India has started Quality Improvement Programme in 1970. The IITB is one of the Centers for Quality Improvement Programme (QIP) along with other IITs, IISc and many other institutions. The programme is administered by AICTE. Admission to QIP is done by the National QIP Coordination Committee. For details click here.

respected sir, i have planned to do my aerospace engineering in IIT bombay and i am really working hard for it .Please can you just help me out with how should i prepre for my entrance exam and what is the cut off mark for the entrance exam and please can you just post the fee what should be paid after getting selected .please do reply for the post sir ...thank you
