The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade was established in 1963 with the objective of providing training in foreign trade and export management and to encourage research in this sphere in an attempt to internationalize India’s economy. Ever since its inception, it has undertaken commendable research studies with organizations like WTO, World Bank, UNCTAD and the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India. It has been the primary provider of training and research-based consultancy in the areas of international business, both for the corporate sector, Government and the student’s community.
Courses
IIFT offers three part time courses in International business and export management as listed below:
- Three-year MBA (International Business) (Evening), New Delhi
- Executive Masters in International Business, New Delhi, Dubai and Dar-es-Salaam
- Certificate Course in Export Management, New Delhi, Guwahati (Assam)
Eligibility
For part time MBA
- No age limit
- Recognized Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 3 years’ duration in any discipline
- A minimum managerial experience (including self-employed) of not less than THREE years as on 1 July of the year
- Company sponsorship or ‘No Objection Certificate’ from the employer
Admission is open to working executives and self-employed individuals fulfilling the following criteria:
- Post Graduate Degree / Engineering Degree or equivalent from any recognized University or Institution. Managerial work experience of not less than three years. OR
Graduation or equivalent degree from any recognized University or Institution. Managerial work experience of not less than five years.
- Only the work experience after eligibility qualifications as on 31 December of the year when the Program is advertised is considered.
- Company sponsorship or ‘No Objection Certificate’ from the employer is required.
For certificate course in Export management
Bachelor’s Degree from any recognized Indian or foreign University. OR
Diploma holders with two years of post-diploma full time work experience as on 31 March of the Programme year
Selection
Selection will be on the basis of Essay Writing, Group Discussion and Interviews to be held in IIFT Campus, New Delhi.
