The Army Institute of Management (Formerly, National Institute of Management Calcutta) (NIMC) was established on 28 July 1997 by the Indian Army under the aegis of Army Welfare Education Society (AWES), New Delhi, to develop professional entrepreneurial and executive skills in the wards of Army personnel with an opportunity for the general candidates as well.
The eco-friendly campus is spread over nine acres of land at Alipore, in Kolkatta. Quality teaching staff and stringent selection procedure have always been the highlight of AIM. Within a short span of time AIM has established itself as a quality B-School in the Country.
AIM is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and affiliated to the West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT).
For selection purposes, Army Institute of Management takes into account CAT scores, followed by Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) held at AIM, Kolkata.
