Department of Management Studies - IIT Delhi
The Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (IIT-D) offers MBA programme through the Department of Management Studies (DMS) situated in its campus. It was established in 1963.
Prof. Sudhir Kakar was the first coordinator of this programme. In 1993, the management area acquired the status of a statutory Department of IIT-Delhi with Prof. Vinayshil Gautam as the first Head. IIT-Delhi was the first IIT to have a regular Department focused on 'Management Studies'. In 1997, the postgraduate programme in Management was formally christened as an MBA programme.

Admission Procedure
The admission is based on the scores obtained in Joint Management Entrance Test (JMET) exam, thus swiping off the ala de crème of the best management brains available in the country.
Eligibility
A candidate is considered eligible for applying for a MBA program, if he has a graduate degree in any area of Technology, Pharmacy, Engineering, Architecture or Agriculture Engineering with a minimum of 4 years of study after 10+2 level. The candidate should have at least 60% marks in total or a minimum of 6.75 CGPA on a 10-point measuring system during your qualifying exam.
