The National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE) was established in 1963 by the Government of India, in collaboration with United Nations Development Project (UNDP) through the International Labour Organization (ILO). It is one of the leading institutes for Management education in India. It is located in the picturesque surroundings of Powai and Vihar Lake with mesmerizing and serene locales.
NITIE is an autonomous body under the Ministry of HRD (MHRD), Government of India and is governed by Board of Governors, comprising of eminent personalities from Government, Academics and Industry.
Right from the beginning, NITIE has provided with solutions to the complex problems of industries and business, taking into consideration the ever-changing needs of the dynamic business environment. Over the years, it has emerged as India’s ‘Ivy-League’ B-Schools and has been recognized as a centre of excellence along with the IITs, IIMs and IISc.

Admission Procedures
Every candidate has to qualify through G.A.T.E. This is followed by Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) of the short listed candidates to be held at NITIE, Mumbai. Work experience will be given suitable weightage. Candidates need to submit a photocopy of GATE scorecard / printout of GATE score from website. Selection of industry sponsored candidates with 2 years industry experience is through personal interview only (No Gate Score Required).
