Entrance Test Pattern for Mass Comunication Undergraduate Programs


Awareness of day to day happenings in domestic territory as well as in foreign territory is good for any lay man who wants to keep himself/herself informed but for a student who is interested in the field of media keeping track on current affairs is significant. He should possess sound knowledge of current affairs at any given point of time. For seeking admission in Mass communication course in any university a student’s knowledge on current affairs hold him/her in good stead as most of them judge a student in it amongst others.
   

Examination Pattern for Bachelor's Program in Mass Communication

He should possess sound knowledge of current affairs at any given point of time. For seeking admission in Mass communication course in any university a student’s knowledge on current affairs hold him/her in good stead as most of them judge a student in it amongst others.

The entrance test is usually divided into two sections :-

   1. Objective Section
   2. Descriptive Section

Objective Section : In the objective section, questions are asked on

  • Numeracy (test on Numerical ability)
  • Conceptual knowledge
  • General English
  • General Awareness

Descriptive Section: The descriptive section, on the other hand, asks a student to do a case study. The scores are given out of 100.

After the entrance test is over, the candidate is once again assessed in the interview.

The overall aim of the university or institute organizing the exam is to judge a student on all parameters.

As far as the duration of the exam is concerned it is usually ranges from 2 to 3 hours and varies from university to university. There are certain colleges in the university who hold different papers on different days and then call candidates for the final interview.
