Entrance Exam Centres & Schedule for Bachelor's in Mass Communication

The entrance examinations are usually held in different examination centres. The rationale behind this move of the universities and institutes is to select candidates who have potential and reside in far-flung areas, for whom reaching a particular centres, 1000 km away from their hometown is a gigantic task. Usually only those universities and institutes arrange for the examination centres that conduct exam on all India basis or have a common entrance test. Universities offering Bachelors in Mass Communication course also hold test at various examination centres. But centres vary from institute to institute.

Manipal Institute of Communications, which runs a 3-years Bachelors degree in Mass Communication, conducts a Common Entrance Test across six selected cities - Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata, Manipal and Mumbai. The students can choose any of these centres for taking the exam.

However, if you want to pursue your Bachelor's in Mass Communication in any college affiliated to Delhi University (DU) you have to appear for individual tests conducted by respective colleges.

Entrance Exam Schedule

To fill up the limited seats in the Bachelors programme of Mass Communication, the Universities and Institutes conduct entrance in the month of May and June each year. The months of May and June are usually zeroed in on as the academic session of these universities/institutes commence from July onwards. The date of the exams differs from year to year and depends to a great extent on the declaration of the 10+2 boards result. If the board examination results are delayed due to some reason or the other, then the admission process too gets delayed.
