Home The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) conducts an all India entrance test for admission into Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) course. The duration of the course is 5 ½ years including internship. The course is highly popular and one of the best among available medical courses in India. The degrees awarded by the institute is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) New Delhi, Medical Council of India (MCI) and all other national and international bodies for the purpose of further studies, employment and research work etc.
Eligibility Criteria for Appearing in AIIMS All India Entrance Exam for admission into MBBS program is described below-Nationality: Only Indian National can apply for appearing in the entrance examination.
Age: The candidates must have attained or will attain the age of seventeen (17) years on the 31st of December of the year of admission.
Educational Qualification: Passed 12th Class under the 10+2 Scheme / Senior School Certificate Examination or an equivalent examination of a recognised Board of any Indian State with ENGLISH, PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY and BIOLOGY.
ORThe Intermediate Science (I.Sc.) or an equivalent examination of a recognized Indian university / Board of Education with ENGLISH, PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY and BIOLOGY
ORPre-Medical or Pre-Professional examination of the integrate M.B.B.S. course with ENGLISH, PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY and BIOLOGY ; after having passed either the higher Secondary School Examination or Pre-University Examination, or an equivalent Examination.
ORThe 1st year examination of the 3-year B.Sc. degree course with ENGLISH, PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY (Organic and Inorganic)
ORAny other examination with the required subjects, which in scope and standard (including its courses and syllabus) is considered by the institute, equivalent to Pre-medical/Intermediate Science examination of an Indian University.
Minimum Aggregate: The candidate must have obtained a minimum of SIXTY PERCENT (60%) marks in aggregate in the 4 compulsory subjects of ENGLISH, PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY and BIOLOGY.
Graduate ApplicantIf an applicant has passed the B.Sc. or B.V.Sc. or B.Sc. (Nursing) final examination by securing not less than fifty five percent(55%) of the total marks in aggregate in any of these examinations, he/she shall be eligible for appearing in the Competitive Entrance Examination provided in the 12th class examination under 10+2 scheme/ Intermediate Science/Pre-Medical or Pre-Professional /B.Sc. 1st year examination of three years course or an equivalent examination, he/she had studied the subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology, even if he/she has secured less than 60% marks in the subjects specified above.
For Scheduled Caste/Tribe Candidates: A candidate who has obtained a minimum of 50% of marks in aggregate in the subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology in his/her 12th class examination under 10+2 Scheme/Intermediate Science/ Pre-Medical / Pre-Professional/B.Sc 1st year or an equivalent examination will be eligible to appear in the Competitive Entrance Examination.
A candidate belonging to Scheduled Caste/Tribe community who has passed the B.Sc or B.V.Sc. or B.Sc (Nursing) final examination by securing not less than fifty percent (50%) of the total marks in aggregate in any of these examination, shall be eligible for appearing in the Competitive Entrance Examination, provided in the 12th class under 10+2 scheme/Intermediate Science or Pre-Medical or Pre-Professional or B.Sc. 1st year or an equivalent examination, he/she has studied the subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences and the Ministry of Health
and Family Welfare neither entertain requests for supply of application
forms for admission nor receive applications' directly for nomination of
foreign students.
