Madras Christian College, Chennai

Madras Christian College, Chennai was established in 1837 as a school for secondary education. But with the passage of time it grew in to a full fledged college for higher education & research and later gained the autonomous status from the UGC. It has entered into the 171st year of glorious service to the Nation by providing quality education to the citizens. Many dedicated Indian teachers as well as generations of brilliant students contribute to its success story.

Madras Christian College, owing to its academic excellence, has been rated with A+ (equivalent to 90-95%) grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The college also finds place in the list pf top ten science colleges in the country according to India Today survey 2007.
