The prestigious Loyola College, Chennai was founded by Fr. Francis Bertram in July 1925. It enjoys the status of an autonomous college and has been affiliated to University of Madras. It has also been conferred with A+ grade by NAAC for its academic excellence and achievements. It offers courses both at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
As an autonomous college, Loyola has adopted the semester-cum-credit system. At the undergraduate level (B.A., B.Sc., & B.Com.) the curriculum is for three years.
