St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai

St. Xavier’s College, affiliated to the University of Mumbai, is one of the reputed colleges for science education in India. The college has been named after St. Francis Xavier, a Jesuit saint of the 16th Century who traveled to India. It was founded by the Society of Jesus, a Christian Religious Group started by St. Ignatius of Loyola in 1540.

The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) of UGC has conferred the 5 star status (A+) to this college owing to its academic excellence and also for spreading higher education in the country.
