Postgraduate Studies - New Zealand

Postgraduate study in New Zealand leads to one of the following degrees:

Postgraduate Diploma: This is usually a one year full-time study. It is taken up after bachelor’s degree to build on the subject studied at the graduate level.

Master’s Degree: This is usually a two year full-time study after a bachelor’s degree building upon the knowledge gained at the bachelor’s level. A master’s degree in New Zealand combines a mix of coursework and research.

Doctoral Degree: A doctoral degree usually takes three years of full-time study and research. Admission to a doctoral program requires a first class or good second class honours degree, a master’s degree or equivalent qualifications.

Academic Session: Being in the southern hemisphere, the university session begins at the end of February or beginning of March and ends in October.

Application: Application to various universities for postgraduate studies should be made directly to the universities.

Eligibility:
Most New Zealand universities accept the Indian graduation system of three years for entry into most postgraduate courses. An Indian bachelor degree like B.A., B.Com. or B.Sc. is equivalent to a New Zealand Bachelor (Ordinary) Degree.

    i applied 8 days ago for student visa to new zealand, yesterday i recieved a call from immigration officer bombay, she asked me about my snr sec educatoin , because i have completed my 10 th in 2005, and 12th in2008 , because i could,nt prepeared well for mathematics , and i got suppy of it, then i cleared it in golden chance , and punjab board issued me certificate of 2008 , i give reason to immigration officer that my grand father was ill , he admitted in a hospital, my father doing a job, am onlya single
