Undergraduate Degrees are offered by universities, polytechnics and private training providers. Undergraduate degrees in New Zealand take three to complete and an additional year to get an honours degree.
There are eight state-funded universities in New Zealand offering degree courses at undergraduate levels in academic and professional studies. You can choose your program from a broad range of subjects in commerce, arts and science. Each university also has its own specialist subject like Environmental Studies, management, technology or engineering.
Universities in New Zealand are self-managing and have mechanisms for internal and external monitoring and review of their academic programmes.
NZCC and NZQA ensure that the New Zealand universities meet the quality and the academic standards and maintain the high standards set by the committee.
Undergraduate courses in New Zealand are also popular among Indian students because the system is based on British education system which is somewhat similar to the education system followed in India. The degrees are internationally recognized making it one of the obvious choices among Indian students when it comes to choosing a study abroad destination.
Eligibility:Admission to a New Zealand university requires one to complete twelve years of elementary and secondary education.
The acceptable degrees include: Indian School Certificate, Intermediate Certificate, Higher School Certificate, Higher Secondary Certificate, All India Senior School Certificate.
Most universities ask for a minimum of 75% aggregate marks and a minimum of 60% in English.
In case the criteria is not met, you may be required to complete one year of education in any university in India or do a foundation course in some university in New Zealand.

i applied 8 days ago for student visa to new zealand, yesterday i recieved a call from immigration officer bombay, she asked me about my snr sec educatoin , because i have completed my 10 th in 2005, and 12th in2008 , because i could,nt prepeared well for mathematics , and i got suppy of it, then i cleared it in golden chance , and punjab board issued me certificate of 2008 , i give reason to immigration officer that my grand father was ill , he admitted in a hospital, my father doing a job, am onlya single
