After completing the preparatory faculties the student pass through an examination. In case of a successful passing of the examination, the student receives the Certificate of the preparatory faculty. This certificate gives the student a right to enter any Russian university without entrance examinations.

But if the student chooses training in English or French language (only for medical specialties) he/she does not need to study at the preparatory faculty, he enters directly the first year of the degree course.

IX) I receive an exit visa, when am I expected to leave Russia

If a student receives an exit visa, he/she is obliged to leave Russia within 15 days after the receiving the visa. In case of a delayed departure, strict measures — penal sanctions, arrest, holding in custody, deportation are applied.

The decision on deportation is taken by a special court. In case of deportation the entrance to Russia is forbidden for the subsequent 5 years. We strictly recommend students to observe the requirements of the immigration services

X) Is it possible to study and work at the same time?

Russian education is generally considered to be one of the most qualitative and fundamental in the world. Much attention is paid both to basic theoretical knowledge of students and extensive practical skills. It allows students to find a well-paid job and start climbing the career ladder right after the graduation.

Students of Russian Universities are obliged to visit all the lectures because only knowledge received during the classes allows the students to become efficient and knowledgeable professionals.

Thus, it might be possible to work only after classes or on holidays or weekends. How-ever, during the first two years we would not recommend you to combine work and study. Firstly you need to get accustomed to the new country and learn Russian language. When you become the third year student it may be possible for you to get a work only if you study well and you attend all the required classes.
