AIEEE 2012 - All India Engineering Entrance Examination (also referred as All India Engineering / Architecture Entrance Examination - AIEEE)is the gateway for admission into 1st semester of first year's professional degree courses i.e. Engineering, Pharmacy and Architecture (B.E, B.Tech, B.Arch, B.Pharm, B.Des Etc) offered through various AIEEE Colleges across India. Student who successfully completes 12 year of school education in Science discipline from any school board (i.e. CBSE/State Board Etc) are eligible to write AIEEE 2012 Entrance Examination. The minimum age to appear in AIEEE 2012 Entrance Examination is 17 years.
AIEEE 2012 shall be an Online Test as well as Paper Pencil Based Test. AIEEE 2012 Online Test shall be held for 1 lakh candidates only, according to CBSE AIEEE 2011 Notification. Candidates willing to appear for AIEEE 2012 online test must need to submit there Application Form online. However, it is said in AIEEE 2011 official notification that depending on the success of AIEEE 2011 Online Test, the AIEEE Board will offer Online Test for more number of aspirants for AIEEE 2012 and beyond. The AIEEE 2012 Online Test shall be available in AIEEE 2012 Paper I only.
The administering authority for AIEEE 2012 is AIEEE Board of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. Student who appears in All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) 2012 and finds place in the merit list prepared by AIEEE 2012 Board are called for counseling for final offer of admission. During counseling students are provided with option to choose from range of study programs of interest.

AIEEE to be Replaced by Joint Entrance Examination
(JEE) known as the ISEET, the single common entrance test has been renamed as the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) . JEE 2013will be managed and conducted by CBSE. New JEE 2013 has been designed to give more weightage to Std XII exam results. It will consist of two objective type papers - JEE-Main and JEE-Advance. Syllabus of JEE 2013 is same as that designed for ISEET. Two rank lists will be prepared, one for all the IIT and the one for all other engineering institutes. JEE is proposed to be held twice in a year - once during November/December and then in April/May. |
Important Notice For Aspiring Candidates of AIEEE 2012 (Offline & Online Exams)Keeping in view that Offline and Online examinations of All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) are to be conducted on different dates i.e 29th April, 2012 (Offline), 7th, 12th, 19th and 26th May, 2012 (Online), multiple sets of question papers with the same difficulty level have been prepared for AIEEE-2012 to be conducted by the Board. Subject Experts who have prepared the question papers have certified that the entire syllabus of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry has been covered in each question paper set by dividing the syllabus of each subject into appropriate number of units and choosing equal numbers of question from every unit. Further, in every set, each subject carries the same percentage of easy, medium and difficult question. This ensures the same difficulty level of each set of question paper. Submission of Request for AIEEE 2012 Online Examination by Offline Candidates (Absentees of 29th April 2012 Paper I i.e. B.E./B.Tech only) :
Those candidates who opted for offline mode of examination and could not appear for AIEEE 2012 offline examination conducted on April 29, 2012 for B.E./B.Tech can apply for online exam of AIEEE 2012 for 12th, 19th and 26th May 2012 dates only. Last Date for Submission of Request is May 05, 2012. |
Important Notice for Students who have opted for AIEEE 2012 (Online Examination)
AIEEE 2012 online examination will be conducted between 7th May 2012 to 26th May 2012, the online option for date selection will be available on AIEEE Website from 17th Jan 2012 to 31st Jan 2012. The online examination dates are 7th May, 12th May, 19th May and 26th May. You can select the date of your choice.
The selection of date is on first come first serve basis. If the capacity of a particular date is exhausted, then you will have to select another available date. Therefore you are requested to make your selection of date of exam at the earliest to avoid non availability of date of your choice.
The Online Examination of B.E./B.Tech. for AIEEE 2012 will be conducted in 22 already specified cities all over the country. Candidates are advised to exercise option of selection date for the above-mentioned dates for the Online Examination of B.E./B.Tech. on the Board’s website i.e. www.aieee.nic.in . This facility is available on ‘first-come first-served’ basis. The registration for the online test will remain open from 17.01.2012 to 31.01.2012. Online Examination will be conducted only in one shift i.e. from 10.00 am to 01.00 pm. All other details are available on the AIEEE website i.e. www.aieee.nic.in

AIEEE 2012 Notification
AIEEE 2012 is annual examination and notifications are issued by AIEEE Board. For 11th AIEEE to be held in 2012, the CBSE has made several changes in the examination system for benefit of students community at large.
- AIEEE 2012 Offline Examination that is Paper/Pen Test will be held on 29th April, 2012
- AIEEE 2012 Online Examination only (CBT Mode) will be conducted From 7th to 26th of May, 2012
- Last date for the Online Application Form submission of AIEEE 2012 Examination is 31st December, 2011
- Last Date for Submission of Request for Online Exam date (for candidates who were absent for offline exam that was held on April 29, 2012): May 05, 2012
Extension of Last Date for selection of online examination date for AIEEE 2012
The last date of selection of online examination date is extended to 15th February 2012. The candidates who have not selected the date of exam are requested to select the date of online examination on or before 15th February 2012, failing which the Board will allot the date as per the availability. No change in the date of examination will be entertained under any circumstances.

In a bid to make information more readily available to candidates from across the country, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has launched Numbers on AIEEE 2012 - The All India Engineering Entrance Examination, along with the Mock Tests for AIEEE 2012.

AIEEE Online Corrections
Please note that as AIEEE had facilitated ‘online’ corrections of particulars in the application form, the facility for correction will be operational on AIEEE website www.aieee.nic.in till 10th January, 2012. No correction in particulars will be entertained by the Board under any circumstances after 10th January, 2012. All the students are advised to visit the CBSE/AIEEE website and make correction in particulars, if any, without fail by 10th January, 2012.

AIEEE 2012 Mock Test

AIEEE 2012 Eligibility Criteria
AIEEE Eligibility Criteria for appearing in All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) 2012 and further admission into various engineering, pharmacy and architecture degree undergraduate programs is described below-
AIEEE Nationality Requirements: Only Indian nationals are eligible to appear in the All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) 2012.
AIEEE Age Limit: The candidates whose age lies between 16-24 years of age on the first day of October of the year of Examination can appear in AIEEE 2012.
AIEEE Reservation: Schedule Caste (SC), Schedule Tribes (ST) and Physically Handicapped (PH) candidates has been given 5 years of relaxation in the upper age limit in AIEEE 2012. Date of birth as recorded in the Secondary Education Board/University certificate is considered as authentic for AIEEE 2012.
AIEEE Educational Qualification: List of Educational Qualifications for appearing in All India Engineering Entrance Examination [AIEEE] 2012 is described below:
- The 10+2 level examination of any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Education Examination.
- Intermediate or two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/University.
- Final Examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy.
- Any Public School/Board/University Examination in India or abroad recognized by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to 10+2 system.
- H.S.C. Vocational Examination.
- A pass grade in the Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects.
- 3 or 4-year diploma recognized by All India Council for Technical Education {AICTE} or a State Board of Technical Education.
