FTII - Admission Process
The Institute conducts an entrance examination for admission to its various courses. The examinations are held at the following centres- Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Amritsar, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Chennai, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi, Patna, Pune, and Thiruvananthapuram.
EligibilityThe minimum eligibility is a bachelor's degree. candidates willing to pursue a course in Audiography and TV engineering, should have Physics at 10+2 level besides a bachelors degree in any discipline. Similarly for the course in art direction, the candidate should either have a bachelor's degree an equivalent diploma in Architecture/painting/Applied Art/Sculptures/Interior designs or related fields in fine arts.
For the course in Animation and Computer graphics, the minimum eligibility is 10+2. However, candidates with diploma in fine arts are given preference.
Note : The institute reserves two seats in each course for students falling under the category of foreign students and NRI. Few seats are also kept aside for SC/ST candidates as per Govt. policy of reservations.
For short term courses, preference would be given to those candidates who possess some knowledge and experience in the concerned specialization.
