NUEPA - Programs
NUEPA undertakes the following activities
- Training educational planners and administrators
- Research in educational planning and administration
- Providing consultancy services at national and international levels
- Disseminating the latest knowledge and information through its publications
- Organizing seminars, conferences and workshops in educational planning and administration
- Providing a forum for exchange of views and experiences between practicing educational administrators, planners and academics.
- Sponsoring research in educational planning, policy and management.
ProgramsNUEPA offers following programs in educational policy, planning, finance and administration.
M. Phil : The programme is of two-year duration and is offered in three parts. While the first part comprises of Compulsory Papers, the second have optional papers. In the third part, a student is required to do dissertation work.
Ph.D : The full-time Ph.D programme is of five years' duration. A student has to complete the thesis within this timeframe. However, it can be extended too, but only on the recommendation of a supervisor. For part-time students, the maximum time is 7 years. But prior taking up the course, a student has to mandatory go through a eight month Pre-Ph.D. course to get oneself registered for the Ph.D. Under the pre-Ph.D a student has to appear for four papers of Part I of M.Phil program. In the remaining months, a student has to prepare a synopsis, to be submitted to the institute for registration to Ph.D.
