How to chose for a cost effective college?????

Education comes with a cost, few years back I came across a write up by the then Chairmain of CII Mr. Rahul Bajaj of Bajaj Motors (Sorry sir i am writing your name just for reference so if anything less appropriate please let me know, its my pleasure to hear from you), where he have mentioned that education is a costly investment, for education you pays now and it pays you later, proof enough education comes with a cost. At the same time many want to study but find themselves in the mist of financial crisis. So if you are the one its worth considering how to choose for a college at cost effective ways. Here are few tips-

1. Decide in which program you are interested and where it is offered. Make a list of such institutions, / colleges, / universities.

2. Now analyze and classify the location of these institutions / colleges / universities. An institution offering a course from a city center may be much costlier if you are not getting scholarship. So prefer going for one in the rural area. Also the living in rural area would be less.

3. Stay inside the campus, you will save for travel expenses.

4. Prefer staying in dormitory instead of separate or twin sharing rooms.

5. Join mess or cook food in groups; not prefer to purchase, as this may be costly.

6. Borrow books from library instead of buying. After all you need these for a semester only.

7. Find part time work if your coursework allows for such practices within the campus.

8. Use public transport, instead of taxi etc; if require try covering distances like a kilometer walking. This is good for your health too. I was earning through tuitions and to reach from one place to other covered about 5 kms in a day, I learnt a lot but I made mistakes and today I am not at the place where I was supposed to. But where I am, I don't have regrets. Though I miss walking and the fact is today I can't walk more than 200 meters or so. 

9. Do laundry yourself in weekends, you will save a lot of money. I was also doing in weekends. Doing laundry and playing with is really enjoying.  I miss this activity now, after a week long work who wanna do laundry.

10. Do not pretend that you are rich too, while you are not, in front of your peers. Let them enjoy. Finish your college first. Life is a big journey you will get millions of chances to flash your credit card in the super market. I don't own a credit card yet. Ha ha haaa……………….
