The Indian Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) was founded in 1975 and is the premier government institute for academic enquiry and research in the areas of banking and finance. The institute hosts a Common Recruitment Process for Specialist Officers (CRP SPL), which was started in 2011. Selected candidates get allotted prestigious posts in one of the many public sector banks and financial institutions like Punjab National Bank, Bank of India etc. The exam is quite competitive and requires rigorous and dedicated study.

Eligibility Criteria

Nationality

In order to be eligible for appearing in IBPS CRP SPL 2017 a candidate must be:

A candidate must be a Citizen of India or /Nepal/Bhutan/Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India/a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Also, candidates belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above must possess a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

Age (As on 01.11.2016):

Minimum: 20 years Maximum: 30 years

i.e. a candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.11.1986 and not later than 01.11.1996 (both dates inclusive)

  • Personal Interview

Candidates who clear the online written examination will be slotted in for an interview which is conducted by the concerned public sector banks and financial institutions with some help from IBPS. The will need to download the IBPS CWE SPL IV call letters from the authorized IBPS website (www.ibps.in). They will also need to carry prescribed documents for submission before the interview. The details for the interview shall be disclosed after the declaration of the CWE results.

  • Final Selection

The final selection for the IBPS CWE SPL 4 cut off will be made by combining CWE and interview scores by an 80:20 ratio. Candidates will be allotted to participating organizations on a merit-cum-preference basis.

Application Procedure

Persons wanting to apply for the exam must go to the IBPS website and fill out the IBPS CRP SPL IV for specialist officers form. They will need:

  • Scanned photograph
  • Scanned signature
  • Valid-mail ID and mobile number

There are a number of payment methods available to applicants. The application fee for SC/ST/PWD is Rs. 100 and Rs. 600 for applicants from all other categories.
