Age - A minimum of 21 years and a maximum of 30 years as on 1 April of the year of the examination. Upper age is relaxable for SC/ST, OBC, persons from Short service Commission, and employees of the Life Insurance Corporation etc. There are some other categories which also enjoy relaxation in age limit.
Educational Qualifications - A degree in graduation from any of the recognized universities of India.
Skills and Attributes - The test is designed to evaluate the linguistic proficiency in English, numerical ability, reasoning ability and knowledge of current affairs.
Recruitment Procedure - Recruitment is through two tier examination. The first part comprises of a written examination where as the second part consists of personality test for candidates who qualify the written examination.
The written examination comprises of:
Paper I (This consists of multiple choice questions)
1. Reasoning Ability (Bilingual)
2. General Knowledge and Current Affairs (Bilingual)
3. Numerical Ability (Bilingual)
4. English Language with special emphasis on grammar and vocabulary
Paper II is of descriptive nature,
a. Test on Essay (can be written in Hindi or English)
b. Précis and Comprehension in English
The second part comprises of an interview cum personality test, for those candidates who have cleared the written examination.
