Many luxurious beauty parlours at five star hotels also offer excellent pay–packages for cosmetologists. After gaining some exposure, one may set up his/her own beauty saloons or clinics.
A trained fresher can get a monthly salary of Rs 5,000 to 7,000. If you join an international training brand, you can start at Rs 15,000. Salary shoots up with experience and there are always chances that customers who like your work can l tip you heavily. During season the pay scale may increase twofold.
Specialized professionals like make-up artist charges anywhere from Rs.500 to Rs.4, 000 to execute a bridal or photographic make-up. Similarly, for make up and hair dressing in marketing campaigns one can even earn around Rs. 2000 to Rs. 5000 for a day's work. Professionals with three to five years of experience can even make Rs. 50,000-plus.
