These days, segments with considerable potential for KPO industry include pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, data search, integration and management services, financial services, research and analytics, technology research, computer-aided simulation, engineering design and professional services such as business research and legal services.

Of late, Off-shoring research and development in pharmaceuticals and biotechnology has also emerged as an important segment for KPO industry.

By and large, graduation in any streams is considered to be the basic requirement to make a foothold in the industry.
