Indian Army Surveyor Auto Cartographer Exams

The Indian Army consists of various arms divisions and services. Among these Surveyor Auto Cartographer is one. For the recruitment of Surveyor Auto Cartographer, Indian Army conducts Indian Army Surveyor Auto Cartographer Exams. The examination is held four times a year and is advertised in the Employment News and leading newspapers.

Indian Army Cartographer Exams Eligibility Criteria

Nationality: Unmarried Indian citizens (including those of Nepal) are eligible.

Educational Qualification: Non Matric

Age: Soldier Tradesman General Duties: 17½-20 Years
Soldier Tradesman Specified Duties: 17½-23 Years

Normal Physical Standards given above minus 2 Cms height, 1 cm Chest and 2 Kgs weight.

Medical Standards

A candidate should have robust physique and good mental health. Chest should be well developed having minimum 5 Cms expansion. Should have normal hearing with each ear and good binocular vision in both eyes. He should be able to read 6/6 in distant vision chart with each eye. Colour vision should be CP-III. Should recognize red and green colours. Should have sufficient number of natural healthy gum and teeth i.e. minimum 14 dental points. Should not have disease like deformity of bones, hydrocele and varicocle or piles.

Physical Fitness Tests (PFT)

To determine the Physical Fitness, the following tests carrying 100 marks are held:-

(a) 1 Mile Run
(b) Pull Ups
(c) Balance
(d) 9 Feet Ditch

Marking system is as follows:-

These are qualifying test and no marks are awarded.

Indian Army Cartographer Written Exam

Eligible candidates will be required to appear for a written test. Common Entrance Examination (CEE) is conducted on 4th Sunday of Jan, Mar, May, Jul. Sept & Nov. for recruitment of Soldiers. It comprises of following paper:

It generally comprises of questions on IQ, Numerical ability general knowledge and current affairs.

Total Marks: 100
Pass Marks: 32
